Senior Systems Engineer

Depending on the employer, a Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for the following: 

• Manage the complete end-to-end product development process
• Support project managers in planning technical activities
• Define the required behaviour of the specific product system
• Collaborate with stakeholders and researchers to define user needs and expectations
• Present ideas, solutions and results to the business and clients
• Set, measure and manage technical requirements of the development process.
• Analyse and evaluate architectures and technologies of systems modelling
• Write proposals and support client management
• Design interfaces and define requirements to subteams working on the project
• Lead and manage orderly design reviews
• Take a transdisciplinary and integrative approach to each project 
• Lead and manage product integration activities
• Coordinate with a team of multi-disciplinaries 
• Devise and verify the strategies and plans of projects
• Initiate test method development and validation
• Manage risk management processes throughout the project
   

Senior Systems Engineers will be required to have the below skills and experience: 

• Ability to lead and integrate multi-disciplinary team members.
• A Life Sciences or Engineering background or degree
• Experience in leading control systems, medical device and product development projects
• Have an organised and systematic approach to work
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Presentation skills
• Accomplished problem solver
• Extensive commercial awareness for the healthcare industry and Medical Technology and Engineering sectors
• Experience in managing complex projects
• Knowledge of industry recognised MBSE software tools. This may include Enterprise Architect, MagicDraw, Rhapsody, Capella, Polarion, Doors, Jama
• Experience in using formal Systems Engineering modelling languages such as SysML and Capella
   

Any Senior Systems Engineer will be expected to have a BS/MS degree or a
System Engineering certification (e.g. CSEP, ESEP, MSc, PhD, etc.)
