JPM26: 5 Things We’re Looking Forward To

3+ minutes

This week the team is jetting off to San Francisco for the 2026 J. P. Morgan Healthcare Conference.

From the 12th to the 15th of January, Hannah Haigh (CEO of Meet), Alastair Shaw (SVP of Mx) and Amanda Strazza (Executive Partner at Mx) will be meeting global leaders in life sciences and discussing sentiment for the upcoming year.

Below we’ve highlighted five key things from the conference that the team is especially looking forward to.

1. Hearing where investment (and hiring) is heading first-hand

One of the best parts about attending the world’s largest (and most influential) healthcare investment symposium is hearing first-hand where capital is flowing next.

This week we’re excited to listen in on important discussions regarding investments and what this means for the talent landscape across pharma, biotech, and health tech.

2. Learning how companies are thinking about talent in an evolving market

Attending JPM26 is a brilliant opportunity to listen in on how industry shifts and trends will have an effect on leaders and their approaches to hiring this year.

The team is interested in hearing which priorities are evolving and how may affect the way leadership chooses to scale their teams.

3. Meeting emerging companies

We’re excited to meet early-stage and fast-growth companies and learn what success looks like for them in the year ahead – and how we can leverage our experience to help avoid the talent challenges associated with scaling growth.

After all, some of the best conversations happen away from the main stage.

4. Discussing the importance of diversity in leadership

We’re looking forward to more thoughtful discussions too, particularly those about mission, patient impact and what great leadership looks like

Having spent the last year highlighting the importance of leadership diversity and closing the gender gap in life sciences, the team is excited to discuss how we can collectively bring about more equity and inclusion within the industry.

5. Seeing new and old industry faces

And of course, the JPM Healthcare conference is one of the best opportunities for networking and meeting some of the most influential people the life sciences has to offer.

Whether it’s old or new faces, connecting with the people who shape companies, industries and markets around the world is always a privilege.

A few words from Meet’s Co-Founders

I’m really looking forward to connecting with founders and senior leaders across life sciences, as well as comparing sentiment for 2026 and discussing how talent strategies need to align with value creation plans. If you’re in town, I’d welcome the chance to chat about your priorities for the year ahead over coffee, lunch or a drink. – Alastair Shaw, Co-Founder of Meet and SVP of Mx

“JPM is a fab opportunity to spend time with our clients, reconnect with many familiar faces, and meet new leaders and potential partners across the industry. I’m especially looking forward to listening and learning about the reinvigorated sentiment to the year ahead and how this will affect investment, scaling, and hiring strategies in 2026.

"After the conference, I am looking forward to spending quality time on the West Coast in our San Francisco and San Diego offices; connecting with our people and kicking off the year together as we evolve and continue our mission of creating the teams that build the future of Global Health.” – Hannah Haigh, Co-Founder and CEO of Meet

We’ll be sharing our key takeaways after the conference — but if you’re attending JPM next week too, we’d love to connect while we’re there.
