They are expanding their pipeline and seeking a strategic leader to oversee their clinical development efforts for autoimmune indications. Role Summary:
As Vice President, Clinical Development, you will serve as the strategic architect for the company’s autoimmune pipeline. You will lead high-level planning, foster collaborations with internal teams and external partners, and ensure the clinical integrity and regulatory success of trials. This role offers a combination of strategic oversight and leadership, supporting the company’s growth ambitions while maintaining a focus on patient safety and scientific rigor. The position is based on-site, with opportunities to collaborate across teams and with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set and execute the vision for clinical development in autoimmune diseases.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and oversight of clinical programs, focusing on innovation and timely delivery.
  • Ensure clinical trial integrity, safety, and compliance, delegating daily monitoring tasks to qualified teams.
  • Provide expert insights on trial design, regulatory strategy, and data analysis.
  • Represent the organization as the primary medical and scientific voice in external engagements.
  • Cultivate relationships with key opinion leaders, investigators, and partners to accelerate pipeline progress.
  • Support organizational growth through talent development and leadership succession planning.

Experience & Requirements:

  • MD or DO with specialization in immunology or related autoimmune fields.
  • Proven success as a senior clinical leader, ideally within pharma or biotech, with broad immunology expertise.
  • Strong track record of strategic leadership in clinical development, portfolio management, and cross-functional team building.
  • Deep understanding of early drug development, clinical trial processes, and regulatory pathways in immunology.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and data evaluation skills.

Compensation:
This role offers a base salary between $400,000 and $450,000, depending on experience. Additional benefits include stock options, restricted stock units, a stock purchase plan, and a targeted bonus. The company also provides comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and disability coverage, with relocation support available if needed.
