Role Summary
As a Supplier Quality Engineering Manager, you will oversee the quality standards of the company's metal suppliers, driving continuous improvement across the supply chain. Reporting to senior leadership, your role involves collaborating closely with suppliers, internal engineering teams, and production departments. This position offers a mix of strategic oversight and hands-on problem-solving, with hybrid work flexibility and some travel to supplier sites. Your work will directly influence product quality, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead supplier quality audits and assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and company requirements.
  • Manage supplier quality issues, driving root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Support the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives within the supply chain.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers, fostering a culture of continuous quality improvement.
  • Analyse supplier performance data to identify trends and risk areas.
  • Ensure that incoming materials meet quality specifications and drive non-conformance resolution.
  • Maintain documentation and reporting related to supplier quality metrics and audits.

Experience & Requirements

  • Proven experience in supplier quality management within the metals or manufacturing sector.
  • Strong understanding of quality standards and certifications relevant to metal supply chains.
  • Familiarity with quality tools such as root cause analysis, CAPA, and risk management.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence at various levels of the organisation.
  • Relevant engineering or quality assurance qualifications are preferred.

This role offers a base salary between £180,000 and £200,000, depending on experience.
