Our client is a growing business in the biotech and pharmaceutical sector, specializing in innovative oncology solutions. They are seeking a Senior Oncology Sales Specialist to help drive adoption of their first commercial oncology product across Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, and Long Island. Role Summary:
As a Senior Oncology Sales Specialist, you will develop and execute strategic account plans within your territory, promoting an advanced oncology solution to healthcare providers. You will be the face of the product, providing education, building long-term relationships, and ensuring the product’s benefits are clearly communicated. This role involves a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on engagement, working in collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve sales goals and enhance patient care across your geographic area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive territory business plans
- Manage and nurture relationships with physicians, nurses, and practice managers
- Conduct engaging and persuasive discussions with healthcare professionals about the product’s benefits and evidence-based use
- Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, medical science, and clinical educators to maximize impact
- Plan and deliver promotional activities and speaker programs to elevate product awareness
- Monitor market trends, competitive intelligence, and sales performance to optimize strategies
- Support budget adherence and operational efficiency within the territory
Experience & Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree required; a minimum of 6+ years in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
- Proven success in oncology or rare disease product promotion
- Strong knowledge of healthcare provider dynamics within the oncology field
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Experience with market access or reimbursement strategies is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Results-oriented, resourceful, and self-motivated with a strategic mindset
