Our client is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical enterprise committed to advancing therapies for autoimmune conditions through the power of cell technology. They are seeking a dedicated Senior Medical Director to serve as the physician lead for CAR T-cell therapy clinical trials. This pivotal role involves overseeing clinical development efforts, supporting strategic trial execution, and collaborating closely with internal teams and external investigators to accelerate innovation.
Role Summary:
You will lead the medical aspects of clinical trials focused on autoimmune disease indications, ensuring the highest standards of safety, efficacy, and scientific integrity. You’ll play a key role in designing studies, analyzing data, and supporting regulatory submissions, all while fostering strong relationships with investigators and research partners. This position offers flexible options for remote or hybrid work, with potential travel to site locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the medical monitoring of clinical trials, engaging with investigators and external medical monitors.
- Manage cross-functional collaboration with clinical operations, biometrics, regulatory, and commercial teams.
- Support the development of clinical trial protocols, investigator brochures, and regulatory documentation.
- Oversee safety, efficacy, PK, and biomarker data analysis to ensure trial integrity.
- Contribute to regulatory submissions by developing and reviewing clinical sections of dossiers and responses.
- Foster external research collaborations through active engagement with investigators and sponsors.
Experience & Qualifications:
- MD or DO (or equivalent), with 5+ years of clinical research experience, including 3+ years in late-phase development.
- Strong background in autoimmune diseases, neurology, rheumatology, or nephrology is preferred.
- Industry experience in clinical development of cell therapies or related areas is highly desirable.
- Proven skill in interpreting and presenting clinical data, with familiarity in GCP/ICH and regulatory protocols.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build effective partnerships with investigators, CROs, and internal teams.
Salary:
This role offers a base salary between $320,000 and $355,000 USD, depending on experience, plus bonus, benefits, and stock options.
