Our client, a well-funded local biopharma company, is seeking a skilled Sr. Manager GXP Quality Systems (QA Vendor Management) to join their team. This individual contributor role offers a fantastic opportunity to lead vendor qualification, onboarding and offboarding, audits, performance monitoring, and managing quality events in alignment with global cGMP standards. As the successful candidate, you will oversee vendor management and audits, manage quality agreements and change notifications, investigate quality events, track metrics, ensure timely execution, and drive quality initiatives. This onsite/hybrid role will be based in our headquarters office in Carlsbad, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Vendor Management & Audits: Lead vendor qualification, onboarding, change control, and risk-based audits in alignment with global cGMP standards.
  • Manage Quality Agreements & Change Notifications: Negotiate, implement, and maintain Quality Agreements while coordinating vendor change assessments with cross-functional teams.
  • Investigate Quality Events: Lead investigations, CAPA development, and effectiveness checks to support continuous compliance and issue resolution.
  • Track Metrics & Ensure Timely Execution: Monitor performance metrics and ensure quality activities are completed within established timelines and regulatory expectations.
  • Support Cross-Functional Collaboration & Improvement: Drive quality initiatives, influence decision-making, and implement best practices to strengthen regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
  • 3-8 years of QA GMP Vendor Management experience.
