The opportunity (Role summary)

As a Senior Accountant, you will independently oversee key aspects of the general ledger, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Operations, and Facilities to support financial reporting, audits, and operational improvements. This on-site role offers a chance to work closely with various departments and provide strategic financial insights to help the business grow.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and ledger analysis.
  • Manage accounting for assets, liabilities, leases, and fixed assets, ensuring adherence to U.S. GAAP and internal policies.
  • Supervise cash and intercompany accounting processes and reviews.
  • Analyse financial results, investigate variances, and resolve accounting issues.
  • Prepare internal and external financial reports, disclosures, and support SEC filings.
  • Review transactions and supporting documents to ensure completeness and compliance.
  • Partner with teams in Facilities, Operations, Procurement, and Finance to support projects and asset management.
  • Assist with audits by preparing schedules, responding to auditor requests, and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Identify process improvements through automation and workflow streamlining to enhance reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • CPA certification is required.
  • Public company experience is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, general ledger accounting, and internal controls.
  • Proven ability to analyse financial data, resolve issues, and support month-end and SEC reporting.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred), financial reporting tools, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlines.

Compensation & benefits

This role offers a salary range of $90,000 to $120,000, depending on experience. Additional details will be provided during the hiring process.
