The opportunity (Role summary)

As a Regional Business Director focusing on pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), you will be responsible for exceeding sales targets within your designated region. You will serve as a key strategic partner to healthcare professionals and internal teams, leveraging data and insights to optimize sales initiatives. This on-site role involves managing key accounts, engaging with physicians, and supporting the company’s growth in a highly specialized market.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and drive regional sales efforts, consistently exceeding revenue goals aligned with incentive plans.
  • Utilize account planning tools to maximize opportunities, analyze market data, and allocate resources effectively.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop strategic plans, interpret market trends, and influence key decisions.
  • Make targeted sales calls on important accounts, building long-term relationships with healthcare providers and key opinion leaders.
  • Manage and support a team of sales representatives, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Serve as a resource for market insights, delivering presentations and reports to senior leadership.
  • Translate corporate strategies into actionable regional plans, driving measurable outcomes and adapting to evolving market conditions.

What you’ll bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in science, nursing, or a related clinical field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 8 years of pharmaceutical sales experience, with a minimum of 6 years working closely with physicians, vendors, and competitors within biotech or pharma markets.
  • Proven track record of sales excellence and strategic thinking, with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable plans.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in using CRM and market analytics tools.
  • A self-starter mindset balanced with the humility to listen, learn, and elevate team performance.
  • Experience managing teams and leading complex sales strategies in the rare disease or oncology sectors is highly preferred.

Compensation & benefits

This role offers a base salary of up to $255,000 annually, complemented by a quarterly bonus of approximately $35,000, depending on experience and performance. Additional benefits are aligned with industry standards and company policies. This is an on-site role located in California.
