Pathologist (m/f/d) — Berlin (Hybrid Potential)

A modernising pathology institute in Berlin is looking to add a Facharzt / Fachärztin für Pathologie (m/f/d) due to planned growth and upcoming capacity needs. The team is investing heavily in digital pathology and workflow improvement (incl. new LIS rollout and scanner-based processes) and is keen to speak with pathologists who enjoy combining solid diagnostic work with a forward-looking, tech-enabled environment.

The Role

• Diagnostic histopathology with a strong routine focus on Dermatopathology and Gastrointestinal pathology (skin + GI-heavy case mix).
• Opportunity to contribute to a lab that is actively upgrading processes, systems, and digital workflows.
• Collaborative caseload distribution within a small, efficient team.

Working Model

• Berlin-based role with flexibility as digital workflows mature.
• Limited hybrid/home-office may be possible depending on onboarding progress, case mix, and the digital setup (this is not a fully remote position).

What They’re Looking For

Essential

• Board-certified Pathologist (Facharzt/Fachärztin für Pathologie).
• Confident in routine sign-out and comfortable in a high-volume environment.
• Positive mindset toward digitalisation / workflow change.

Nice to have

• Any exposure or interest in gyn cytology (not mandatory).
• Experience working with digital pathology tools / LIS transitions.
