The opportunity (Role summary)

As a Pathologist, you will primarily focus on gynecological pathology, with additional exposure to dermatopathology and gastrointestinal cases. You will collaborate closely with a structured, multidisciplinary team supporting a modern diagnostic facility. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Berlin, with an emphasis on quality, timely reporting, and integrated cross-site teamwork.

Your role involves ensuring accurate diagnoses, supporting the ongoing development of diagnostic services, and contributing to the growth of the department. You will work within well-defined workflows, offering a balance of autonomy and team collaboration, all in a family-friendly, regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and diagnose gynecological pathology cases, with additional involvement in dermatopathology and gastrointestinal pathology.
• Maintain high standards of diagnostic quality and turnaround times.
• Collaborate with cross-site teams and support courier/remote case handling when necessary.
• Contribute to the expansion and enhancement of diagnostic services.
• Participate in team meetings and support process improvements to optimize workflows.

What you'll bring

• Board certification in pathology or close to certification, with a focus or strong interest in gynecological pathology.
• Willingness to collaborate across sites and handle courier or remote cases.
• Exposure to dermatopathology or gastrointestinal pathology is beneficial.
• Professional experience ranging from recently qualified to seasoned practitioners.
• Capacity for structured work within a team environment and commitment to high-quality diagnostics.

Compensation & benefits

This role offers a competitive salary with a base of €180,000 per year, reflecting the expertise and experience of the ideal candidate.
