Partner / Shareholder Pathologist (25% Equity) — North Rhine–Westphalia

A highly profitable, established pathology institute in NRW is seeking an experienced Consultant Pathologist to join the group as a Partner / Shareholder, acquiring c. 25% of the institute as part of a structured succession / growth plan.

This is a rare chance to step into a senior, long-term leadership position with exceptionally strong earning potential, supported by a high revenue split and a stable, diversified case mix.


The Institute

  • Well-established, high-performing diagnostic pathology provider with excellent market position
  • 5–6 consultant pathologists currently in the group, supported by 1–2 residents
  • Broad diagnostic scope with strong hospital linkage:
    • Significant routine biopsies and a high volume of hospital-referred cases
    • Coverage across all organ systems except:
      • No hematopathology
      • No gynecological cytology
    • Non-gynecological cytology is part of the service
  • Access to university-level molecular pathology capability (advanced diagnostics available)

The Role

  • Deliver high-quality diagnostic reporting across a broad general pathology workload
  • Contribute to clinical discussions and collaboration with referring hospitals and clinicians
  • Join the senior group as a Partner / Shareholder with 25% ownership (details shared under NDA)
  • Opportunity to shape strategy, service development, and long-term succession planning

Candidate Profile (Indicative)

  • Board-certified pathologist 
  • Comfortable working across a broad general histopathology spectrum
  • Interest in long-term partnership and ownership; commercially minded but quality-driven
  • Experience with (or strong interest in) modern diagnostics including molecular pathology access pathways
  • German language capability likely required for day-to-day clinical communication (level can be discussed)

Compensation / Upside
