The opportunity (Role summary)
As a Regional Medical Science Liaison, you will serve as a trusted scientific resource, engaging with healthcare professionals and researchers to facilitate education and collaboration. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including clinical development and marketing, to provide insights that shape medical strategies. This role is on-site, requiring extensive overnight travel (50–75%), and offers you the chance to be on the forefront of novel therapies, making a tangible difference in patient care and scientific advancement.
Key responsibilities
- Build and sustain productive relationships with top healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders in your region.
- Disseminate scientific and clinical information accurately and effectively to diverse audiences.
- Deliver engaging medical presentations and serve as a scientific resource at conferences and meetings.
- Support investigator-initiated studies, facilitating submission processes and investigator partnerships.
- Contribute to medical education strategies, including publication planning and the development of scientific materials.
- Partner with internal teams to support clinical trials, investigator recruitment, and market access initiatives.
- Provide training and educational support to sales and marketing teams.
- Ensure all activities comply with relevant regulatory, legal, and corporate standards.
What you’ll bring
- Advanced clinical or scientific degree (PharmD, PhD, or MD).
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an MSL, preferably in biotechnology or pharmaceuticals.
- Strong knowledge of therapeutic areas such as neurology, oncology, immunology, or cardiovascular health preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex scientific data.
- Demonstrated experience in developing relationships with healthcare providers and influencing clinical practices.
- Proven organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Valid driver’s license, dependable vehicle, and willingness to travel extensively.
Compensation & benefits
This role offers a salary range of $190,000–$210,000, commensurate with experience, reflecting the seniority and impact of the position.
