The opportunity (Role summary)

As a Key Account Manager (KAM) for Southwest Germany, you will be responsible for maximising sales potential across your territory by building and maintaining trusted partnerships with healthcare stakeholders. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop strategic account plans and support product launches. This is a largely on-site role, requiring extensive travel (more than 90%), delivering on sales, and creating value-driven relationships within the hospital sector.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and grow sales volume within your territory, aligning with regional and national targets.
  • Develop strong, trusted relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare stakeholders by demonstrating expertise on relevant products and health policies.
  • Create, execute, and continuously review a tailored account business plan that supports product growth and aligns with strategic objectives.
  • Monitor performance metrics against plan, delivering effective account coverage, and managing budgets in partnership with leadership.
  • Identify new business opportunities, including potential projects, tenders, or contractual agreements.
  • Maintain accurate, timely records of customer interactions and account details within CRM systems.
  • Provide insightful reports on customer activity and business development efforts to senior management.

What you’ll bring

  • Proven experience in sales or marketing within the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector.
  • Demonstrated success in key account management, especially within hospital or healthcare environments.
  • Strong negotiation, closing, and relationship-building skills.
  • Fluency in German (native level) and very good English skills.
  • Good proficiency with MS Office tools and CRM systems.
  • Knowledge of the hospital sector and relevant health policies.
  • Experience managing tenders, contracts, and the launch of new products.

Compensation & benefits

This role offers a salary between €75,000 and €85,000, depending on experience, along with a package commensurate with your skills and expertise.
