Customer Support/Sales Manager
Medical Device / Ophthalmic Industry

Position Summary
An innovative and growing medical device company is seeking a Sales & Marketing Manager to support and expand international business operations outside of the U.S. and China. This individual will play a key role in distributor management, international market growth, trade show coordination, channel strategy, and commercial operations.
The ideal candidate will bring 3–6 years of experience in sales and marketing within the medical device industry, along with strong organizational and contract negotiation skills. Experience supporting ophthalmic or surgical products is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Sales, Marketing & Commercial Support
- Serve as a primary contact for international sales and marketing activities
- Coordinate trade show logistics, booth setup, and marketing collateral
- Process customer orders and support shipment coordination
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and issue resolution
- Maintain and support global pricing documentation
- Support payment collection and distributor communications
- Conduct customer and distributor feedback surveys
- Assist with distributor identification and onboarding efforts
- Follow up on inbound leads and support brand visibility initiatives
- Analyze revenue trends and support commercial reporting
- Contribute broadly across sales, marketing, and operational initiatives
International Distributor Network Expansion
- Support planning and execution of major industry conferences and trade shows
- Develop strategies to expand international distributor partnerships
- Identify and onboard new distributor relationships in target markets
- Provide training, resources, and ongoing support to channel partners
- Evaluate distributor performance and implement improvement strategies
Channel Management
- Support management of direct and distributor-based sales channels
- Collaborate with marketing efforts to improve engagement and conversions
- Assist in developing strategic channel partnerships
- Monitor channel performance metrics and support sales strategy optimization
Regulatory & Product Registration Support
- Assist with product registration activities in international markets
- Coordinate with regulatory, legal, and quality teams to support submissions
- Work with distributors on required documentation and approvals
- Monitor international regulatory updates impacting commercial activities
Product Expansion Initiatives
- Support identification of market opportunities for product enhancements or new offerings
- Collaborate cross-functionally on product launch initiatives
- Assist with distributor adoption and product introduction strategies
Additional Responsibilities
- Support additional projects and operational initiatives as needed
- Domestic and international travel required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field required
- MBA or advanced degree preferred
- 3–6 years of experience in sales and marketing within the medical device industry
- Experience supporting international markets and distributor relationships preferred
- Prior contract negotiation experience strongly preferred
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of product positioning and strategic marketing principles
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within ophthalmology, surgical devices, or related healthcare markets preferred
- ERP experience, particularly NetSuite, is a plus
Compensation & Location
- Base Salary: $80,000 – $108,000 DOE
- Full-time, onsite position
