The opportunity (Role summary)

This on-site role is designed for a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) with a passion for hepatology. You will work closely with healthcare professionals, decision-makers, and internal teams to share scientific insights, disseminate safety information, and support clinical development. Building strong professional relationships across the US hepatology community, you will provide vital field insights that help shape the company’s strategic approach. You’ll have significant autonomy in your territory, engaging with key opinion leaders and supporting investigator-led research, clinical trials, and educational initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and nurture relationships with external medical experts, professional groups, and key stakeholders within the hepatology space.
• Respond compliantly to unsolicited medical information requests, ensuring all responses are scientifically accurate, fair, and aligned with local standards and regulations.
• Disseminate safety information and conduct scientific exchanges to support appropriate medicine use.
• Deliver presentations and scientific updates to healthcare providers, formulary committees, and professional conferences.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Medical Affairs, R&D, and Commercial, to provide strategic insights and field feedback.
• Support clinical development activities, investigator-sponsored research, and medical education initiatives in the hepatology space.

What you’ll bring

• Medical, pharmacy, or scientific degree (e.g., PharmD, PhD, MD, DNP).
• At least two years of experience in pharmacology and pharmacotherapy within a clinical or pharmaceutical setting.
• Prior experience working with healthcare professionals and influencing clinical decisions.
• Strong knowledge of hepatology and experience in engaging key opinion leaders.
• Ability to travel as needed within the specified territory.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Compensation & benefits

This role offers a competitive salary range of £190,000 – £240,000, depending on experience.
