Executive Medical Director – Neurology (Clinical Development)

A fast-growing biotech is seeking an experienced physician leader to drive global neurology clinical development programs and guide a high-performing clinical team across multiple indications and phases.

What you’ll do

• Lead clinical strategy and execution from first-in-human through Phase 3, including protocol development and overall program delivery
• Serve as senior medical lead for medical monitoring/oversight, safety review, and trial data interpretation
• Partner cross-functionally with Clinical Ops, PV/safety, Regulatory, Biostats, Clinical Quality, Commercial, and external vendors (CROs/sites)
• Oversee clinical content for regulatory submissions (e.g., IND packages/briefing books and related documents) and support health authority interactions
• Contribute to portfolio strategy, budget planning, and leadership-level decision making
• Engage KOLs/external experts; support advisory boards and safety committee meetings
• Coach and develop direct reports within clinical development

What we’re looking for

• MD (or equivalent) with neurology residency training
• 10+ years pharma/biotech clinical development experience across Phase 1–3 (global)
• 5+ years people-management experience in neurology clinical development
• Strong working knowledge of ICH-GCP and FDA-regulatory standards
• Gene therapy and/or pediatric neurology experience strongly preferred
• Willingness to travel ~20%
