As a Technical Expert, you’ll be a key player in ensuring the top-tier performance and reliability of our equipment. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will lead maintenance strategies, troubleshoot major breakdowns, and drive initiatives for continuous improvement. This role combines technical expertise with leadership, as you’ll be accountable for driving action and collaborating across teams, though without direct reports.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead efforts to optimize equipment performance in your designated area, working closely with the Operations team.
Conduct in-depth root cause analysis for equipment failures and lead the implementation of corrective actions.
Develop, execute, and continuously improve maintenance programs and procedures to achieve exceptional equipment reliability.
Leverage state-of-the-art reliability-centred maintenance tools and condition monitoring systems.
Foster strong relationships with service providers and lead regular supplier appraisals.
What You’ll Bring:
Completed engineering apprenticeship with further education to HNC/D or post-graduate level (preferred).
Strong computer literacy, excellent communication skills, and experience with change management.
Experience in a similar role, preferably within the pharmaceutical or food manufacturing sectors.
A proactive, action-oriented individual with excellent influencing and negotiation skills.
