Role Summary
The Supplier Quality Engineering Manager plays a vital role in maintaining the company’s high standards by overseeing supplier quality processes related to machined components. You will work closely with procurement, engineering, and suppliers to ensure quality compliance and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead supplier quality assessments and audits to ensure adherence to the company’s standards.
  • Manage and resolve supplier quality issues, implementing corrective and preventative actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review and approve supplier quality documentation and processes.
  • Support supplier development initiatives to foster continuous improvement and risk mitigation.
  • Analyse quality data to identify trends and drive initiatives that reduce defects and improve part reliability.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to align on quality expectations and performance targets.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices throughout the supply chain.

Experience & Requirements

  • Proven experience in supplier quality assurance within manufacturing, ideally involving machined parts.
  • Strong understanding of quality standards such as ISO 9001, and experience with quality tools like PFMEA, root cause analysis, and auditing.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external suppliers.
  • Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in quality engineering or manufacturing processes are advantageous.
  • Familiarity with the platform or similar technologies used in quality management is a plus.
