On behalf of our client – a respected and expanding private diagnostic services provider with a nationwide presence – we are seeking a Consultant Pathologist to join their Lausanne-based laboratory. This is a smaller centre currently staffed by 2–3 experienced pathologists, offering an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to play a key role in both diagnostics and lab leadership.
This position offers the unique prospect to take on the leadership of the on-site histology laboratory, working closely with clinical and technical teams to ensure quality and efficiency in diagnostic delivery.
Key Responsibilities

Provide expert histopathological evaluation and diagnostic reporting across a broad caseload, including:

Gastrointestinal and dermatopathology (majority)

Uro-pathology
-
Other routine surgical pathology cases
Oversee and coordinate daily operations in the histology lab, working collaboratively with laboratory personnel
Participate in interdisciplinary clinical discussions to support patient care
Ensure compliance with quality assurance protocols and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Liaise with peers across the broader network for knowledge-sharing and case collaboration
Ideal Candidate Profile

Board-certified Pathologist (FMH or equivalent)

Demonstrated experience or strong interest in GI and/or dermatopathology

Competency in uro-pathology and general surgical pathology

Prior leadership or supervisory experience is a plus – or a clear ambition to develop in this direction

Team-oriented mindset with strong diagnostic and communication skills

Proficiency in French (spoken and written) is preferred; English is a plus
