A growing medical device company based in the Los Angeles area is hiring a Regional Director of Clinical Outcomes to support their expanding clinical customer base in North America. The company develops next-generation biometric sensor devices for hospital use and cloud-based clinical software solutions. The senior leadership team is seeking a hands-on, customer-facing Director with prior experience supporting customers within the pressure injury prevention healthcare sector.
This individual will help develop and execute regional clinical implementation plans for medical device products, define the clinical outcomes program, and lead implementation programs to optimize customer accounts and maximize market penetration and growth. This role will also support the commercial team in ensuring opportunities progress successfully through the sales cycle. The Director may work remotely with the understanding that he or she will be expected to travel to clinical customer sites within North America 50% of the time. Ideally this individual would be located in the Northeast, Southeast, or South Central area of the United States.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help develop and lead the product clinical implementation and product clinical outcomes programs in collaboration with the wider commercial and marketing teams.
- Support the development of customer specific implementation programs to establish long term customer partnership engagement.
- Lead clinical support for all commercial evaluations ensuring opportunities progress successfully through the sales cycle.
- Support development of training programs/materials and measurement.
- Build and manage the clinical implementation team in North America.
- Build excellent relationships with clinical facility leads.
- Identify and develop commercial KOLs. Develop commercial KOL speaker programs to support commercial goals.
- Develop customer case studies for external use in liaison with the marketing and medical affairs teams.
- Support promotional/commercial activities at scientific conferences and expert group meetings. Develop and lead commercial/clinical presentations.
- Support gathering market and competitor data.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (DNP preferred) and at least 5-7 years of experience in clinical implementation and/or outcome programs within the medical device industry/healthcare sector.
- Pressure Injury Prevention/Wound Care expertise (WOCN certification highly desirable).
- Implementation experience for cloud-based clinical, decision support software programs to drive clinical benefits and outcomes.
- Experience of working both within the Acute and Post-Acute Care sectors.
- Strong experience with high-level presentations and negotiations at a C/D suite customer level.
- Comfortable and capable performing in a hands-on, individual contributor director role with the potential to lead a small team in the future.
- Excellent oral and written communication and relationship building skills.
- Strong computer software skills, including expertise with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with salesforce.com and/or other CRM tools preferred.
- Ability to travel within North America up to 50% of the time.
