We are partnered with a Boston-based startup biotech that is working on an innovative platform for generating self-renewing, transgene-free blood stem cells. We are seeking a Cleanroom Operations Manager to oversee facility, equipment, and vendor operations across their sites, ensuring compliance with FDA and GMP standards. This hands-on role is vital to maintaining operational efficiency as they grow. With a mission to advance science and improve patient health, the biotech is driven by collaboration, scientific excellence, and a strong team culture.
Responsibilities:
- Manage cleanroom operations, vendors, and equipment, ensuring alignment with GMP and FDA standards.
- Lead preventive maintenance and equipment validation programs, including oversight of house gas systems and deliveries.
- Serve as the primary contact with the cleanroom landlord and external vendors for facility-related issues and projects.
- Coordinate office and lab moves, expansions, and general facility upkeep, ensuring safe and compliant execution.
- Oversee building maintenance, monitor vendor performance, and support daily operational needs across both Watertown and Cambridge sites.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, with 3+ years of facilities operations experience in a biotech GMP environment.
- Strong vendor management skills and a proven ability to oversee equipment maintenance and cleanroom operations.
- Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced setting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools like Smartsheet.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset, with a sense of humor and a positive attitude.
