Role Summary:
As the Manager/Director - Bioprocess Development, you will oversee the Bioprocess Development Group responsible for defining, characterizing, scaling up, and transferring manufacturing processes for cell therapies. This is a critical role that involves close collaboration with various teams to ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence. The position is full-time and based in Salt Lake City, UT.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the bioprocess development team to define, characterize, scale up, and transfer cell therapy manufacturing processes
• Ensure regulatory compliance of manufacturing processes and author CMC documentation
• Organize and oversee bioprocess studies in small and pilot scale models
• Develop executional timelines aligned with company objectives
• Mentor and supervise direct reports, including study design and data analysis
• Manage laboratory operations, equipment procurement, and raw material sourcing
• Support equipment procurement and qualification activities
• Serve as a technical expert for process development and technology transfer
• Design and execute experiments for cell therapy manufacturing process characterization

Experience & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Manufacturing, Bioengineering, or related field (Advanced degree preferred)
• 5-7+ years of progressive leadership experience in biologics or pharmaceutical engineering
• Hands-on experience in process development, scale-up, and tech transfer of GMP biologics manufacturing
• Strong expertise in cell culture fundamentals and engineering principles
• Proficiency in bioreactor engineering, project management, and aseptic techniques
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to mentor and train team members and lead with integrity and innovation

Salary:
This role offers a base salary between £150,000.00 and £175,000.00, depending on experience.
