Key Responsibilities
As a Key Account Manager for Oncology in Ontario West, you will:
- Consistently achieve or exceed sales targets while managing territory budget and resources effectively.
- Develop and maintain strong oncology expertise to educate and engage healthcare providers across community and academic centres.
- Build strategic territory and account plans for top oncology treatment centres, identifying key stakeholders and access opportunities.
- Lead patient-focused initiatives in collaboration with internal cross-functional partners (Medical, Marketing, Market Access).
- Drive impactful customer engagement through face-to-face visits, hospital rounds, educational programs, speaker events, and digital channels.
- Work with institutions to support formulary inclusion, budget approvals, and access to oncology products.
- Partner with fellow KAMs and MSLs to exchange insights and maximize territory synergies.
- Maintain accurate reporting and operate within all compliance, regulatory, and ethical standards.
- Travel frequently (>50%, including overnight travel) to engage with key accounts across Ontario West.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree (BSc preferred).
- 4+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience, including 2+ years in Oncology.
- Demonstrated success in driving oncology sales and delivering on ambitious revenue targets.
- Ability to build trusted, long-term relationships with oncologists and healthcare providers in both hospital and community settings.
- Strong scientific and technical aptitude with experience in concept/disease education.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with a solution-oriented approach.
- Understanding of local managed markets (public and private) and hospital environments.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently in a hybrid/remote role.
- Solid compliance mindset with proven integrity in all interactions.
- Computer literacy in MS Office, Teams, Zoom, and CRM tools (e.g., Veeva).
