Assessment Manager – Engineering Inspection (Carriage of Dangerous Goods)
Remote, UK-based | Extensive UK travel required

A leading organization in the accreditation and compliance sector is seeking a skilled and experienced Assessment Manager to join its Engineering Inspection team, with a focus on the Carriage of Dangerous Goods (CDG).

This is a dynamic and varied role, ideal for someone with a passion for quality, engineering inspection, and public safety.

Key Requirements:

  • Solid understanding of product and process compliance systems relevant to the engineering inspection sector.

  • Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17065, ISO/IEC 17020, and ISO/IEC 17025 standards.

  • Strong customer focus and excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Experience in auditing or assessment at an organizational level.

  • A degree in a relevant engineering discipline is desirable. Professional registration (e.g., with the Engineering Council) is preferred but not essential. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.

Role Overview:

As an Assessment Manager, you will be the key point of contact for clients, managing all aspects of the accreditation process with objectivity, professionalism, and exceptional service.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Selecting appropriate assessment teams.

  • Defining and managing the assessment approach.

  • Leading assessments and coordinating team activities.

  • Compiling reports and maintaining clear documentation.

  • Managing each assessment project through to completion.

Additional Details:

  • This is a home-based position, requiring frequent UK travel and overnight stays.
