Assessment Manager - Accredited Testing

Our client, a leading accreditation body, is seeking an Assessment Manager to join their Agri-Food, Life Sciences, and Asbestos team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled scientist with experience in managing ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation. As the Assessment Manager, you will play a crucial role in upholding the integrity and quality of testing laboratories in the UK.

Role Summary: As the Assessment Manager, you will be the primary contact for organizations seeking accreditation, guiding them through the process to ensure high standards are met. This role involves leading the assessment process, coordinating teams, developing tailored approaches, and maintaining strong client relationships. This is a home-based position with frequent travel across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the assessment process from start to finish
• Select and coordinate assessment teams
• Develop tailored assessment approaches
• Compile and report assessment outcomes
• Maintain strong client relationships throughout projects

Experience & Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 and its application in testing laboratories
• Practical experience in Agri-Food, Life Sciences, or Asbestos testing
• Degree or equivalent in a relevant scientific discipline (professional body status preferred)
• Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17043 or ISO 17034 is a plus

Salary: This role offers a competitive base salary between £45,000.00 to £55,000.00, depending on experience.
